Senior Multimedia Experience Designer (Level 6)

Responsible for developing high-quality content to support the AWS global field teams. This role emphasized support for sales focused communications, multi-modal creative training campaigns, and a variety of creative projects for conveying critical enterprise wide product and services information. In addition to providing multimedia creative support and project management it was important to learn both new platforms, services, and web technology to better assist the AWS community. Senior level Mxds would also provide role based leadership, mechanistic process improvements, and education and mentorship in a dynamic fast environment.

  • Reported into the Field Marketing and Communications Lead and responsible for the lead strategic design, development, UX, and creative direction for multiple projects.
  • Led visual and interaction design for a new bespoke sales role focused professional learning paths portal and marketing content with the goal to deliver a more relevant curriculum experience to the 70K customer facing employees, a first for the organization. This overall project work helped reduce both the sales force onboarding time and sales cycle. The learning path portal site traffic was indexed as a top 10% trafficked seller information source.
  • Drove the design strategy and design build of the first dedicated sales field facing omni-channel comms program, including a weekly newsletter, intranet, and Slack channels to ensure 70K customer facing employees globally had access to the most relevant information and could effectively enable their customers. Also provided art direction and vendor liaison over the subsequent next generation product design updates. Reached an average 10% click through rate vs industry average 2%.
  • Responsible for a variety of multimedia work on transitioning the full AWS sales field from Salesforce Classic to Lightning. Work included design and development support for communications, eLearning, web content, web portal, campaign video content (example video: How We Did It video received 65,000 views), presentation, training materials, web platform advertisements, and email communications. Part of a team of four, we surpassed the assigned 90% onboarding completion goal and within the requested time frame and no level 1 critical tickets.
  • Designed and built a custom fully dynamic sales tools catalog for a seller internal hub that presented content directly tied to the sales stage, a first for the organization. By utilizing identified available resources (white papers, presentations, videos, etc) was built in less than a week with fully custom visual design and interaction. Created a future option with a second stage of advanced filtering options for users based on content type.
  • Built a portfolio of self-service assets utilizing off-the-shelf software at no extra cost to enable non-designers to execute low effort repetitive tasks and save production time, examples include a suite of specific communication email templates (Outlook and code), customizable PowerPoint branded graphics, web widgets (banners, Ads, carousels, cards, and more), and development of an image generator full-service mechanism utilizing brand assets for quick creation and hosting.

  • Reported into the Vice President of Marketing and responsible for leading a team of 5 contracted professionals and 30K of the marketing budget.
  • Managed corporate website: This includes but is not limited to development, creative design (graphics, interaction, video content, wire-framing), information architecture, search engine optimization (SEO), user experience improvement, testing (A/B, messaging, and analysis). Marketing tool integrations like CRM (Marketo, Hubspot), Google Analytics and more. In addition, managed relationships with subcontracted teams (security, optimization, and more). Web traffic increased 100% year over year (unique web sessions and overall traffic) for the life of the company.
  • Developed and managed: video content (art direction, storyboarding, visual design, and animation, visual design direction, interaction and creative design implementation management and testing), marketing collateral, advertising assets, conference material, creative design assets, web advertisements (Google Ads, Linkedin) and project plans for brand updates regarding product launches, marketing events, and industry conferences events defined the scope of various projects, led process improvement initiatives, and managed development team, resources, contractors, project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Supported customer resource management: designed and coded email newsletters, created marketing campaign visual assets. Supported marketing operations tool integrations, planning, programming, team communication facilitation, marketing campaigns, content design, content creation, and contact database management built automated email campaigns, web forms, list segmentation, multi-layered social campaign programming, and workflows.
  • Co-developed marketing campaigns with technology partners and party vendors: ISVs, and more for product launches, sales campaigns, lead generation, and messaging updates. Vendor management with senior leaders to support technology and business partners with creative content, unified omni-channel campaigns production.
